The Ones Who Shaped Us
The Ones Who Shaped Us
Rather than creating traditional portraits, I approached each person through abstraction. I began with memories, emotions, favorite colors, personality, and the qualities I most associate with them. From there, color, movement, composition, texture, and metallic elements became a visual language for telling each story. As with much of my work, I gave the paint direction without demanding a predetermined result, allowing unexpected moments to become part of each piece.
Every painting in the collection measures 20 × 20 inches on a gallery-depth canvas. Each is an original, one-of-a-kind work, professionally finished, signed, ready to hang, and accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity.
While each painting stands independently, the twelve works were created as a cohesive collection. Together, they tell a larger story about influence: the people who teach us, challenge us, believe in us, love us, make us laugh, and sometimes change our lives without ever realizing how much they have done.
