Sometimes the people who change our lives arrive in completely unexpected ways. Anastasia had dated my husband years before I met her, yet she became my ride-or-die and one of the greatest friendships of my life. I stood beside her through cervical cancer, and after treatment we celebrated life with a dream trip to Ireland. We lost her only a month later. But this painting is not about losing Anastasia. It celebrates the beautiful soul who showed me what unconditional friendship and love could look like. Purple honors her favorite color, while teal carries another piece of her story. What matters most is the love she left behind.
