I am a self-taught contemporary artist whose work ranges from abstract expression and reverse acrylic painting to whimsical narratives and public art. Guided by curiosity and experimentation, I create artwork that invites connection, celebrates creativity, and my work can be found in public spaces, businesses, galleries, and private collections.
My Journey
Art has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. Although I never attended art school, I was always drawn to the classroom art projects that encouraged creativity and problem-solving. Rather than pursuing formal artistic training, I developed my voice through years of experimentation, teaching myself new techniques, materials, and surfaces one project at a time.
My curiosity continues to shape my work today. Whether painting on canvas, reverse acrylic, wood, glass, or creating textured mixed-media pieces and public art installations, I approach every new surface as an opportunity to learn something new. I intentionally avoid being defined by a single style or subject, allowing each project to develop its own visual language.
Beyond the studio, I believe art should be experienced as much as displayed. I volunteer my time teaching community art classes, contributes to public art initiatives, and creating work that celebrates local businesses, neighborhoods, and shared experiences. My artwork can be found in public spaces, local businesses, and private collections throughout Southwest Florida.
Although my professional career has been in healthcare leadership, art has remained the constant creative thread throughout my life. My experience managing complex projects, collaborating with diverse teams, and solving problems thoughtfully has strengthened the way I approach my artistic practice today.
My Philosophy
Curiosity is at the heart of my creative practice. Rather than defining myself by a single style, medium, or subject, I embrace exploration as an essential part of making art. Every new technique, surface, and idea presents an opportunity to learn, solve creative challenges, and communicate through a different visual language.
My work moves freely between abstract compositions, reverse acrylic paintings, textured mixed media, whimsical storytelling, and public art because I believe the idea should determine the approach—not the other way around.
Experimentation allows me to discover unexpected relationships between color, texture, movement, and form while continually expanding my artistic vocabulary.
Whether creating a painting for a private collector, a commissioned piece for a business, or a work intended for a public space, my goal remains the same: to create art that encourages people to pause, look closer, discover something new, and form their own personal connection. I believe art should be accessible, engaging, and capable of bringing beauty, conversation, and joy into everyday life.

Beyond the Studio
Community service has always been at the heart of who I am, and art has become one of my favorite ways to give back.
Some of my most meaningful work isn't found in a gallery. It's creating public art that celebrates the places we call home, teaching reverse painting to seniors at Beacon of Hope, donating artwork to support local causes, or partnering with organizations to create projects that bring people together. I love seeing someone discover a creative ability they didn't know they had or watching a piece of public art become part of a community's story.
For me, success isn't measured only by paintings sold. It's measured by conversations started, smiles shared, and opportunities to use creativity to make a positive impact. If my work encourages someone to pause, connect, or see their community in a new way, then the painting has done exactly what I hoped it would.

Looking Ahead
I don't believe creativity belongs in a single box. Every new idea is an invitation to learn something, try something different, and create something meaningful. Whether I'm exploring a new medium, creating a public art installation, teaching a community class, or painting a commissioned piece, every project is an opportunity to grow—not just as an artist, but as a person.
As my journey continues, I'm excited to keep exploring new materials, partnering with businesses and organizations, creating artwork for public spaces, and sharing creativity through community engagement. My hope is that every piece I create, whether it finds a home in a private collection, a local business, or a public space, invites connection, sparks conversation, and leaves someone smiling.
One of my favorite ideas comes from Bob Ross: that painting isn't reserved for a select few—it begins with the willingness to dream and the courage to practice. I believe creativity lives in everyone, and some of my greatest joy comes from helping others discover it for themselves.
